Bibb

The USCG Cutter ship, Bibb, built in 1937, was intentionally sunk on November 28th, 1987, just outside the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park boundaries, to create a recreational scuba diving site. Extending 327 feet in length, the wreck lies in the Florida Straits, marked by two mooring balls—one at the bow/midship area and the other at the stern. Known for its popularity among anglers due to abundant fish life, the site also experiences strong currents, making it a rare and exhilarating dive experience.
